I was coming home after taming a wild wolverine, and I saw some punk middle school kids trying to be cool. I walked past them, and as I was almost past them, one of them called his friend a, "fag". His friend was all offended and kicked his friend in the balls. I've noticed that happening a lot, so I went over to them and asked them, what was wrong with being gay? It is a lifestyle, like a religion or governmental preference. People cannot help if they are born like that, and that they deserve respect as well. I asked why it was such an insult. They replied with this, "Well, gays like men." No, really? I thought that gay meant happy or vibrant! I had no idea! I felt sorry for their lack of knowledge, so I suckerpunched one in the nose, and gave the other a roundhouse to the solar plexus. I then walked away from the wanna bes on the ground.
What is the big deal with being called gay? Why is it the ultimate insult? Is it used just when people are jealous of other peoples' abilities, or is it used when punks like those kids can't find anything good about themselves, so they say, "At least I'm not gay!" What the problem is, is today's society. They are afraid of people who are different than them, whether it be race, religion, power, or sexual preference! The boys' fathers probably told them that being gay is a choice you have, and that if you are gay, you will go to hell. Bullshit! I've watched enough documentaries on the topic, to know that people are born like that. They can't help who they are attracted to! Let them have their rights! They are people too, and if they want to marry someone of the same gender, let them! What's the big deal whether or not it defies the dictionary! So instead of the common comeback, "I'd rather be a fruit than a veggie", the next time people call you gay, simply say, "Why no, I am not. But thanks anyway!" -Max
